Message from the President
It’s back to school time! With Back to School that means it’s Back to Theta! We have an exciting lineup of events for you this year. I hope many of you will join us.
When our board met this summer, we decided to focus our efforts on increasing the membership and attendance at our fun events. We will have happy hours, our annual Mexican dinner, and a community service event this fall. We will be looking to you for ideas for our spring events. We want to offer a variety of events at various times that can fit your busy schedule. We also want to provide some interest groups for you to find a smaller group of Thetas for activities such as a dinner club, mommy play dates, and scrapbooking to name a few. Please let us know if you want to be a part of the planning process for any of the interest groups.
As your president, I view my role as an organizer for the group at large. I know my job will be easy this year, due to the excellent board that was slated at our meeting in March. We have a wonderful group of both new and familiar faces. I hope you will get to know each of them, and share with them any ideas you have to help make your experience as an alum a better one.
I look forward to seeing familiar faces and new ones at our first event in September. Remember to spread the word to your fellow Theta sisters and invite them to attend an event with you.
